Framed option
If you would prefer the poster framed there is an option for a black frame that comes in both sizes. The material is made from good quality Ayous wood complimenting the poster.
About the Map
The map illustrates the empire in 117 AD during the reign of Emperor Trajan, including the briefly held territories of Mesopotamia, conquered from Rome’s enduring rival, the Parthians.
Spanning three continents, the artwork conveys the vast reach of Rome, encompassing most of Europe, North Africa and parts of Western Asia. Provinces and major cities of the period are clearly labelled, along with rivers and surrounding seas. Beyond Rome’s frontiers, neighbouring peoples and kingdoms are also labelled, colour-coded by ethnic grouping for clarity.
Although the empire endured for centuries afterwards, it would never again command such a wide dominion. A great map for all those who love the Roman Empire and its history
